About
Amanda Kuehn
Originally from the cornfields of the Midwest, I'm currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I write, teach, and work with others to facilitate their spiritual growth, healing, and self-understanding. I have a background in youth ministry, journalism, story-telling, and cross-cultural education.
I've always loved learning about people—who they are, where they come from, and how they see the world—and am a huge advocate for the power of our sacred stories to teach us about ourselves and ultimately to set us free.

This is what I believe happens when we mindfully attend to our thoughts, feelings, and sensations, and allow our minds, hearts, and bodies to reveal to us the wounds we still hold, the truth we need to hear, and the wisdom we already possess. It is my great joy to journey with others as they connect to their true selves and learn to follow their unique paths.

Experience
Holistic wholeness
As a lifelong learner, I'm always on the journey of becoming. I believe we all are. I began working with the Enneagram in 2012, about a year before starting work on my MFA. I received training in Soul Care in 2016, and shortly thereafter discovered Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and restorative yoga, which together bridge the realms of the mind, body, and heart. I started a two-year spiritual direction program in 2018 and completed my yoga teacher training in 2019.

The services I offer today integrate my background in story-telling, active listening, mindfulness, and spiritual companionship. While my offerings have been formed around my trainings and ongoing education, they are also the work of my life and are uniquely influenced by my own journey.
